ABSTRACT: This study Investigated the Benefits of Early Childhood Education on Cybersecurity Awareness. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the impact of early childhood education (ECE) programs on children's cybersecurity awareness, (2) assess the effectiveness of digital literacy activities in promoting safe online behaviors, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of cybersecurity education on digital citizenship. A survey design was employed to collect detailed data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with cybersecurity education in ECE settings. A sample size of 150 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Cross River State, Nigeria, known for its innovative approaches to digital literacy education. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly improved children's cybersecurity awareness and promoted safe online behaviors. It was recommended that early childhood education centers integrate cybersecurity education into their curricula and provide training for educators and parents on digital safety practices.
